The Journey is almost complete.

I just completed the last workout from the training plan, a short 1.5 mile run on the treadmill just to keep the legs loose. From here on out, it is time to rest up and visualize the race. I am not going to lie; I am slightly nervous, but I am equally as excited. This is really the beginning of a long journey for me. I know now, before I even complete my first race, that a Full Ironman is somewhere in my future. Some may call me crazy, but that's ok, because I am not doing it for anyone else, I am doing it for myself.

Who knows what any of us are truly capable of. The human body, and especially the human mind, are simply amazing creations and I am positive there is tremendous potential in all of us.

OK enough philosophy!!! It's time to kick ass in the Clydesdale division. Wish me luck my loyal friends and family, I am off to chase my destiny....

  1. Celano--

Congratulations on competing in your first triathlon. You made the sincere commitment months ago to train with integrity to finish a sprint course. Being true to the tri results in the right outcome. In other words: right effort --> right outcome. Period. I'm incredibly proud of the lifestyle commitment you've now made to be a tri geek (that's what we tri folks call ourselves). You revealed yourself to all in the purest of ways; swimming, biking and running-- and showing us your stuff. You showed up ready and hammered home an impressive race that needs to carry you to Hermosa Beach and through the off-season with John and I. Yeah-- John and I buddy. Again-- a righteous-- glorious finish to such a fine, sincere, hard working and deserving man. You are awesome buddy-- and keep looking to dial up Ironman with time. I'm so proud of you Charlie-- and admire your drive for heroic significance.

Take care Charlie-- will talk soon

You know who this is-- your tri geek friend
